January in the Lofoten Islands – Small Joys, Big Inspiration
January in the Lofoten Islands is a time of contrasts. The days are short, the light soft and golden when the sun appears for a few hours.

Some days, the wind sweeps mercilessly across the islands; other days, an almost unreal stillness settles over the landscape. And when the nights are clear, the northern lights dance in glowing green tones across the sky.
On a walk along my favorite beach, I discovered something that made me especially happy: Hidden beneath a small tuft of grass were fresh, green cloudberry leaves—as if they had tucked themselves away to escape the cold. These small surprises are the true joys of life for me. Now, these leaves will be turned into unique pieces of jewelry, captured in silver to preserve their beauty.
Customers from All Over the World, Jewelry from Lofoten
My customers come from all over the world—Hawaii, Costa Rica, New York, Europe, China, Australia, and many other places. Some visit my little barn in Lofoten in person, browsing my jewelry or taking home a keepsake from this special place. Others order online and receive a little piece of this wild, Nordic landscape sent straight to their doorstep.
Workshop Life with the Scent of Coffee and Neighborly Chats
Despite all my creative projects, I truly enjoy the normal, everyday rhythm of my workshop. The gentle hum of the machines, the rhythmic hammering, the shimmer of silver in the light—all of it has a calming effect. And then there are the small breaks in between, when a neighbor or a friend by for a cup of coffee. We sit among tools and sketches, warming our hands on our cups and sharing the latest news. These moments are just as much a part of my workshop as the silver and the tools.
Curious About 2025
Now, the year 2025 lies ahead, full of surprises and possibilities. New jewelry, new encounters, new inspiration—and surely many small joys hidden somewhere, just waiting to be discovered.
See you soon from my little barn in Lofoten!
