February – cold, but with a little more light – brought life back to my small barn.

It stands here beneath the highest mountain of the Lofoten, between the Austnesfjord and the Sløverfjord. Behind the mountain lies the Trollfjord, hidden and mysterious. Once, the Vikings pulled their boats across the land here between the Austnesfjord and the Sløverfjord – a feat of strength and determination. Today, no ships are carried over land anymore, but small pieces of art are created – with a lot of heart and a touch of Nordic spirit.
My fitting room got a small makeover, bringing a little more brightness to the still long winter days. Kasimir, my cat and self-proclaimed CEO, naturally kept a close eye on the process. With a critical gaze, he made sure that everything was running smoothly – or at least according to his own standards.
It was a quiet but lovely month. More time to play with new ideas, tidy up the workshop, and welcome dear customers from near and far. The days are slowly getting longer, even though spring is still a long way off up here. But that's alright – winter belongs to the Lofoten just as much as the fjords, the mountains, and the stories they tell.
What will March bring? Who knows. But one thing is certain: Kasimir will be the first to find out.
